Bilingual Invitations
Our invites started out with basic, folded notecards. We wrapped silk around one and a half cards to create a closed pocket (the wrapping was inspired by hrparker's invites). The unwrapped side remains an open pocket.
The closed pocket holds our inserts, and the open pocket holds the invitation. A ribbon was wrapped around the entire package to hold the open pocket flap closed and finish the look.
Brunch Cards
STDs
We just went simple.
The card is ivory with gray and turquoise font. A clear rhinestone marks the month. The language is both English and Spanish to accommodate all guests.
Included with the main info card are two accommodation cards, one for each language. They're wrapped in chocolate satin ribbon and stuffed into envelopes that were lined with the same paper as the accommodation cards.
Only a picture of the Spanish accomodation card is on here because everytime I take one of the English wording, it's blurry! Also, the envelopes are address "To" or "Para" depending on who the recipient is.
Programs!
Here is a mock-up of our program "binder".
I wrapped a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" notecard in dupioni silk. Next, I cut a piece of cardstock down to 8" x 5", folded it in half, and glued it over the inside of the fabric hem inside the notecard. Finally, I tied a satin ribbon around/in the card to act as the binding once the paper containing the ceremony information is placed in the card.
The ivory squares and rectangles you see on top are just there to help me decide how I want to put our information on the front. I've since decided that I'm going to leave the front blank and will only place information on the inside of the programs. This may change!
Favors
Random: for those who are unaware why we chose llamas instead of the myriad of other animals offered: we love llamas. We were on a llama trekking trip when Matt proposed.
We may throw in some sugar cookies too. Everyone loves cookies.
