Cake
Below is our inspiration cake. There will be a cascade of flowers, but it will be a lesser cascade--so, less overwhelming.
The entire cake will be covered in Swiss Meringue Buttercream (SMB)--you know, real buttercream, not a knock-off. The flavors we've chosesn are: Lemon filled with SMB (bottom tier), Vanilla Butter filled with SMB and Strawberries (middle tier), and Vanilla Butter filled with Dulce de Leche (top tier).
The platter to the right will serve as the cake plate.

In addition to cake, the restaurant will serve Chocolate Tamal with Mexican Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. It's very similar to a chocolate lava cake, but it's made with cornmeal rather than flour.
They will also serve Mexican Wedding Cookies (yum!). I'd like to have these served in cones, kind of like they're from a street vendor but in pretty paper. Although, using standard paper cones can still work if I don't find the right paper.
I forgot to ask if they will also make a fruit tray available to the vegan and responsible diabetics.
